Guide updated
A first-run route you can follow
- Choose Charmander and keep Ember active. Move in a wide loop and collect XP behind the pack, rather than reversing into it.
- Select Ember upgrades toward level 5 and take Power when offered. Take Sitrus Berry instead if you need immediate healing; the route does not require risking the run for a card.
- Once Ember is level 5 and Power has been taken this run, choose Ember → Fire Blast on the next evolution offer. Level 5 alone does not evolve it.
- Before the 3:00 boss, leave an open route beside you. Step across charge lines and out of circles. Attack levels depend on your XP and card offers, so evolution before 3:00 is a goal, not a guarantee.
- Learn Swords Dance only while keeping a damage move. After a rift win, spend one Bond to fuse it with Ember; until then, keep Ember’s slot active. Quick Claw is optional loot, not a guaranteed pickup.
Boss warnings and dodge windows
Each boss selects four attacks: Slam plus Dash or Leap, and two ranged patterns. Below half HP it enrages: faster movement, most melee windups ×0.8, and occasional 0.3-second follow-up attacks. The table lists the available patterns, not seven attacks on every boss.
Scroll sideways to read every column.
| Possible attack | Before enrage → enraged / timing | Result / next action |
|---|---|---|
| Slam | 0.85 s; radius 96 + boss radius | Leave the circle around the boss. |
| Dash | 0.75 s; 330 world units / 0.32 s | Cross the aim line sideways during windup. |
| Leap | 0.5 + 0.65 s; radius 82 | Leave your marked old position. |
| Falling zones | 4 → 6; 1.05 s + 0.12 s per zone; radius 50 | Keep walking out of the next circle; check overlapping markers. |
| Beam fan | 3 → 5 beams; 1 s; length 400 / width 26 | Move into a gap perpendicular to the marked lanes. |
| Projectile fan | 7 → 9 shots; 0.5 s | Use gaps between shots; retreating on the center line follows the fan. |
| Projectile ring | 14 → 18 shots; 0.7 s | Maintain separation and pass through a gap after the release. |
Species and rewards
The first species is selected from its power pool, not fixed to one Pokémon. Its template starts at 1,400 HP and receives setup/time scaling; multiplayer changes the final HP. Scheduled boss defeat drops an item, healing, magnet, 50 coins in ten pickups of 5 and a 1/3 chance of one ×10 ticket. A rift legendary is a separate fight with different rewards.
