Guide updated
A selected Pokémon with shiny artwork gets a 1/100 shiny check. If that shiny is already owned, the draw can reroute to a missing shiny in the same rarity pool; if none is missing it becomes normal. A named missing target therefore depends on region, rarity, eligible members and your existing shiny collection.
What collection state changes
Scroll sideways to read every column.
| Rule | Result / next action |
|---|---|
| No eligible shiny sprite | No shiny result for that selected species. |
| Selected shiny missing | The eligible 1% check can add this variant. |
| Selected shiny owned, others missing | Reroute among missing shiny members in that rarity pool. |
| Entire eligible rarity shiny pool owned | The shiny event falls back to a normal result. |
The 100-check example has a specific meaning
For 100 independent eligible 1% checks, 1−0.99^100≈63.4%. That is the chance of a generated shiny event, not a guarantee of a new named shiny. Select the correct region and enter existing owned/shiny lists in the collection-aware gacha calculator to model rerouting. The wild 1/4096 and rift 1/512 rates are different sources.
