The October 8 update introduces missions, 127 historical achievements, items, move evolutions, 18 rift arenas, weather, ticket gacha and co-op for up to four. Current achievements later increase to 130.

Changes at a glance

  • Daily and weekly missions, medal/title achievements and public profiles are introduced. The original announcement counted 127 achievements; the October 13 patch later adds three Judgment goals.
  • Held items and move evolutions arrive alongside enemies that heal, shield, summon others or explode.
  • Rifts lead to 18 legendary arenas, one for each type. Weather and the type chart change combat advantages.
  • Friend-list co-op supports up to four players. Leaderboards include daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and all-time views.
  • Permanent upgrades belong to each Pokémon, and region gacha uses earned tickets. The camera zooms farther out and enemies navigate around obstacles.
